Microsoft accepts Litecoin as a payment method

Crypto payment processor BitPay has announced some exciting news for Litecoin (LTC) holders using Microsoft.

BitPay announced in a new tweet that Litecoin holders can now top up their Microsoft accounts using Litecoin (LTC).

Cryptocurrency payments are becoming increasingly popular. Meanwhile, more and more businesses are accepting payments in a variety of digital currencies, including Litecoin.

BitPay announced in November that Litecoin is now accepted at Mecum Auctions, which has been selling collector cars, vintage/antique motorcycles and street art since 1988.

Apart from Litecoin, Bitcoin is supported by digital currencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Ripple (XRP), Dai (DAI), Binance USD. (BUSD), US Dollar Coin (USDC), Bitcoin Rapid (WBTC), Dollar Pex (USDP) and Gemini Dollar (GUSD) are also supported.

The Litecoin network is growing

The Litecoin network is growing

On December 1st, the Litecoin team reported that the LTC network had processed six million transactions in the past month, indicating the growth of the network. The number of unique addresses active on the network also reached 6.3 million in November.

According to data from IntoTheBlock, total Litecoin addresses with balance also reached a new high of 9.28 million.

In the long term, the total number of addresses with balances indicates interest in holding and investing in a particular crypto asset. An increase in the number of balanced addresses is generally considered beneficial, as it indicates a stronger and growing user base. LTC is down 1.86% in the last 24 hours to $71.86 at the time of writing.
