Today, the TON Foundation, a Swiss non-profit organization working towards the development of the Web3 ecosystem on Telegram, has launched a joint project with Blockchain.com, one of the world’s most trusted and popular platforms for retail and institutional customers to buy, sell and trade cryptocurrencies.
Through this partnership, Blockchain.com and TON will make cryptocurrencies more accessible to more than 800 million monthly active users on Telegram. In September 2023, TON Space, a TON-based wallet developed by the Wallet support team, became available in the Telegram settings menu. This feature is available to existing Wallet users outside the US.
Starting November 2023, TON Space will be available by default in the Telegram menu for all Telegram users outside the US. All current and new Telegram users, with the exception of US users, can access their wallet directly from the Telegram menu. They can enjoy an experience where buying, selling crypto is as easy as sending an SMS.
Ton Coin will also be available in 90 million Blockchain.com wallets worldwide. Users can easily buy and sell with transaction pairs of pounds, dollars and euros. To demonstrate their mutual commitment to providing users with best-in-class value, the program includes a limited-time promotional campaign for Blockchain.com users. According to this program, users will be rewarded with $5 Ton Coin when they purchase $20 Ton Coin on the platform.
Separately, but in parallel with this incentive program, the TON Foundation will attempt to set a world record for the fastest blockchain on October 31, 2023.
